This Isn't My Story

But I was there for the happily ever after part!
Otherwise known as the end.
Or in this case the realization that next week marks the start of new socks!

Melissa is on the left, Phabs on the right.
I think both socks look awful nice!
Congratulations to both of you!

Sock - in progress

Phabieaux and I are working on socks! This is how far I've gotten. I'm pointing to the heel flap. Next up, we need to turn the heel. I'm not sure how that's going to go...might have to call Kokie for help!

Using up the beige yarn...

Two little hats for two little heads...must use up ALL the beige yarn!

Na Na Na Na Na Na BATMAN!

OOoh my goodness! Look what Cat made!

Socks

So I made finished socks!
FINALLY!
The one on the left is the new one.
I don't know what the stripe is-but it makes it easier to identify it!
=)

I got this pattern out of Knitting for Dummies.
I really liked it.
By that I mean it was hard.
You were there.
You know.

So I want to make more socks.
This time I want them to be like real-life socks.
That means smaller needles.
SCARY!

It also means smaller yarn.
And I made it green.
I mean I didn't.
Someone else with a cool job and more skills did.
I just bought the green.

Can you tell I was listening to John Green while writing this?
Sorry I don't know things like gauges.
I just know the needles are scary and the yarn is pretty.
I can do this.

Hat of Five

To make the Hat of Five use size 7 16" circulars:

Cast on 90 stitches. Close circle and knit the first row. For the next 6 rows, knit 5, purl 5. For the next 6 rows, purl 5, knit 5. Continue to alternate until hat is big enough for your head. Decrease and bind off.
